DE+I

Diversity | Equality + Inclusion

Rainbow ABA is committed to and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion in the organization as a whole as well as in the clinical work done with clients. Diversity and inclusion refers to differences in race/color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, sex, gender identity, age, country of origin, religious or spiritual beliefs and socioeconomic class as per the EEOC. Diversity and inclusion also refers to universal access and/or equity pertaining to behavioral health supports. Rainbow ABA aims to ensure that diversity and inclusion is a main value within the organization that is always upheld to the highest standard. Rainbow ABA strives to actively collaborate with clients, preferred partners, and within the organization itself with those who share the same goal of creating a more inclusive environment for all. Rainbow ABA aims to actively seek out diverse candidates for new positions and a diverse clientele. As Rainbow ABA continues to provide thorough support to our families, we provide materials and resources in multiple languages, as well as include closed captioning for all videos provided to staff and families. Our center(s) are ADA-compliant and include pick-up and drop-off areas that are easily accessible for families. Rainbow ABA believes that all families deserve access to high-quality care and strives to provide services to families who may not be able to afford them. Rainbow ABA works with a number of Medicaid plans and will continue to do so to ensure all families have access to the services they deserve. Rainbow ABA strives to consistently protect, support and advocate for both organization members and clients that are part of the organization and will continue this practice for all future clients and employees.

To continue to invest in diversity and inclusion efforts, Rainbow ABA participates in a qualitative annual self-assessment process via the National Center for Cultural Competence through Georgetown University to assess performance in the areas of cultural competency and diversity (https://nccc.georgetown.edu/assessments/). This assessment is conducted via the Rainbow ABA leadership team. Results are assessed and reviewed annually, as well as graphed to ensure agency-wide competency in these areas. Additionally, all Rainbow ABA employees are required to complete a 4-part cultural competency training via DirectCourse upon hire, as well as annually. This thorough training focuses on the importance of cultural competency, as well as how to best apply this knowledge within our client’s homes. Rainbow ABA is proud of their diversity and inclusion efforts and aims to spread more awareness by continuously refining and evolving their training on an ongoing basis.
